Karl Debro

Karl Debro is AVID Program Coordinator at Los Medanos College. He has more than 25 years experience as a teacher. Mr. Debro coordinated an AVID National Demonstration School at San Leandro High School and is a National Advisory Board Member for AVID Postsecondary, a program which is running at 24 colleges nationally. He helped spearhead the design and launch of the nation’s first college AVID program at Los Medanos College. He is currently a leader at LMC’s Transfer Academy, where he collaborates with managers, faculty, and student service staff to accelerate the transfer rate for historically marginalized students.
